Surviving In A World Without Google

Technology today allows us to have access to knowledge in a matter of seconds. If you need information on how to survive a zombie apocalypse just Google it. You will find millions of websites devoted to this topic alone.

You can spend hours reading up on and learning what to do and what not to do when zombies attack. On average you will retain some of the information but most will be forgotten in a matter of days. After all it’s not like you are dodging herds of zombies on the way to the grocery store.

I have heard people say that they that they do not have to remember how to do x, y or z. All they need to do is Google it and the how to information is instantly available. Books have been replaced by computers, smart phones and i-phones.

Gone are the days when you went to the library, browsed the card catalog and used the Dewey decimal system to locate the book(s) on the subject matter you were interested in.

But what if there was a natural disaster or crisis and the internet was not available? What if you had to survive in a world without Google?

Would you know how to make undrinkable water drinkable? Would you know how to gut a deer? Would you know the basic first aid principles that could save your life? Would you know how to survive without having to Google it?

Today’s modern world does not require us to know and practice basic survival skills. We have access to clean drinking water, food, and knowledge on anything and everything thanks to the internet.

However, there may come a day when the internet and Google is not available. That is why I recommend having one or two survival books in your bug out bag and in your home.

These books could mean the difference between sitting idle and helpless and being proactive and taking charge of the situation around you.

Having a couple of survival books in your prepper arsenal is just common sense and a necessity not a luxury. It may just save your life or someone else’s life one day.

Below are some Prepper/Survival Books You May Be Interested In.
