What Would Happen if US Banks Closed for 6 Days?

As Americans get ready to start the long 4th of July weekend on Friday, the events happening in Greek serve as an example of what can happen when banks close their doors.

This past weekend in Greece, people lined up at ATM’s to withdraw their allotted 60 euros for the day. Each person hoping that when it was was their turn that the ATM would not be empty.

The lucky ones who removed money from the banks weeks, or even months ago. Avoided what was a seemingly quiet and orderly process.

Many also went to the grocery stores to stock up on food and supplies, just in case.

At Doomsday Preppers Guide our motto has always been to expect the best, but always be prepared for the worst. Having some cash on hand is always a good idea. Not to mention a minimum 30 day supply of food and water.
